Kerry and Bush slug it out (musing)

Bush, Kerry face off on Iraq - Sep 30, 2004 [cnn.com]

What a fabulous debate to watch. Kerry showed his intelligence, his composure, his directness, and his determined stance that we are one nation in the world - not the lone star state.

What did I hear from Bush? "Err...", "Umm..", "This is hard work", and "my opponent keeps changing his opinion."

What was interesting is that while calling Kerry a flip-flopper in his mantra-line way, Bush could never pin Kerry with the charge: Kerry was able to articulate why his position has been consistent.

Bush dodging questions, it was great.. GREAT I tell you...

I admit I am flabbergasted that anyone could think that George Bush did well - but then, I don't understand how he was elected in the first place.

But as to the flip-flop issue, the entire argument is based on comments taken out of context: Bush Ad Twists Kerry's Words on Iraq [factcheck.org]
